Electrifying heat with solid-state thermochemical energy storage.
eThermFlex combines advanced microwave heating and thermochemical materials to deliver a new approach for clean, efficient, and compact thermal energy storage.

Off-peak Charging
Renewables (e.g., wind and solar) powers microwave heating during off-peak hours, driving endothermic dehydration of thermochemical materials.

Energy Storage
The dehydrated material and isolated water are held in a stable state, with energy stored in chemical form for later use.

Peak-period Discharging
During peak period, water reacts with the dehydrated material to release heat, which is delivered to industrial and residential buildings.
